Dave1647545494
68-72 a-body gm probably an oldsmobile of some kind from the shape of the valve covers and the twin snorkle air cleaner... edit it is an olds I missed the oil filler tube next to the upper radiator hose. the thing that sucks with those motors is that everthing from a 307 to a 455 looks identical

Dave1647545494
though technically if you count any 70's two door coupe as a muscle car cadillac had 472's and 500's

Dave1647545494
I'd like to look at it sometime. I'm a big A-body fan. it was cool how Olds snuck around the corporate 400 ci displacement limit by having Hurst build the cars for them smile.gif

For years they thought the engines were installed at Demmer's foundry when in fact they were installed right on the assembly line at GM. It should be painted in the next couple of months. When it's driveable we'll get together. smile.gif

Also buick and pontiac had a factory 455 cars too, all different engines. BTW I knew it was an old from the first pic, my family are huge oldsmobile guys. Nice project, Get r' Done. MaTS1200
Thanks guys. I can't wait to get this thing done. I was really hoping to have it done before the Good Guys come to town but it's not going to happen. I want it done right so I'll have to be patient. I'm looking forward to car shows, nostalgic drag races ... etc. smile.gif Oh and the reason I said largest disp. ever put into a muscle car is that I don't consider Cadillac's, Mark Iv's or Ranchero's muscle cars. I consider intermediate bodied cars with large engines muscle cars. smile.gif
Devils Advocate
... Civic with an SR20 swap? That engine would pull a premium one week before RaceWarz...
