nurkvinny
I know there are some resourceful GTP owners on here. My questions are: - What, if any, "free mods" are available for the GTP? - Besides free mods, I'd like to hear about your experiences with CAIs, headers, exhausts, chips, etc. Thanks! BTW, picked up a 98 GTP this morning, smile.gif

BTW, picked up a 98 GTP this morning, smile.gif CAIs: I've used three... GrandPrixStore.com open cone & tube - let you hear the SC whine...sucked in lots of hot air from the engine bay...amusing for $80 MotorSportsPerformance Air Box - sealed off pretty well from the engine bay, nice holder for the PCM, Intake Air Temp about 10-15* above ambient temps...hard to justify it's cost. RE-0870 K&N cone and 4" INTENSE FWI Tubing - $90 - By far the best CAI/FWI I've had on the car. IATs were 5* over ambient and even less after driving at highway speeds for a few minutes. Headers - Ported Manifolds - Will do the job for your GT - inexpensive... I used The Other Guys headers - Pricey but a very high flowing header, a great piece to have when making an awesome exhaust setup. Tubes are a little big for a mildly modded GT. Chips - Had a DHP...didn't like it, things ended up being in PCM that weren't supposed to be there. Now use HP Tuners VCM Suite and started with an INTENSE Stage 2 PCM file... Hope this helps...there's TONS of information on ClubGP if you have the time... Brad
