Moe7
I need a small part (ignition control module).. too expensive if I buy new. If they have newer Passats that would work too. [ 11. verse
I doubt you'll be able to find a '99 Audi A4 in any junkyard. If so it'd be hard as heck to find it. Check ebay?

Moe7
Thanks.. car is fine now so I think it was just a misfire, might test my ignition control module anyway just to make sure it is ok though. Now I just need to find a VAG tool to clear the check engine light..

Now I just need to find a VAG tool to clear the check engine light.. you will be able to clear the light with any OBDII tester. AutoZone will ever be able to do this for ya. If you find that you need a coil i have an extra set.
AudiOn19s
1.8T misfires SUCK!!!. I've had my car for 2 years and replaced 2 coils AND that stupid little control module. If you can find a control module used that works get it now as I couldn't source one either when mine went bad and ended up having to purchase one new.
