Need Corvette Shifter/Tranny Guy

I need someone locally who realing the shifter linkage on my C-5. Shifting has become increasingly "notchy" with more frequent missed shifts. I'm hoping it's the linkage and not the synchros. But I need someone who can tell me it's one or the other. The dealer has not been helpful--says "all the 6 speeds are like that."

at the bottom of the auctual shifter lever there is a plastic bushing that might be bad, it's kinda hard to describe, theres a metal ball at he bottom of the shifter stick, and around that metal ball is a plastic bushing. that bushing fits into a slot, and the slot is attached to the linkage. If you'd like I'd be willing to take a look at it for ya
