I am geting ready to "home port" a set of heads to use till funds allow for better ones. So anyways I want to eliminate the smog pump bump next to the valve. I have discussed this with a friend who sugg useing a steel plug then porting it down with the rest but I was wondering if there was a epoxy to use to fill the hole instead. Something that can with stand the heat( and maybe spray). Also I AM doing myself so please don't tell me to take it to m&m or what not.

I thank you for any help any help

Hmmm, that is alot of welding, as far as the rods. I have 20 lbs of it in the garage now. But cast has to be heated or it will crack from the welding heat. Another way to do what you are wanting to do is to braze a piece of metal in there.

As far as the epoxy's. There are a few that guys use it drag motors in the exhaust tract. But not a street motor. Reason is that the heat cycling is alot greater, and that tends to crack the epoxy.
