need help......strange rattling

I been having a problem with this strange rattling noise from under my 94 civic ex. I have just figured out that it was the heat sheld over the cat converter. I got under my car and tightened up the bolts holding it in place. That didnt help at all cause it still rattles a lot. I was wondering if i could just take it all the way off and run with no heat sheld above the converter. Or is there a way to get it from not rattling so much.

what i did on my accord was get a couple hose clamps and wrap them around the heatshield and i boud the heat shielt to the cat.

 

 

on my corolla i just crabbed a screw driver and bent the shield out of the way :-p

so i just use hose clamps and wrap them around the heat sheld and the converter and tighten them up?

Just tear the heat shields off.

tear them off all mine are off and I cant even notice a difference in heat on my floor boards

i wouldn't tear them off, i've "heard" of firehazards and what not, they are there for a reason....
