Benyen Soljax
i pulled the spark plug wires out of my integra to check and see why all my cylinders arent firing, and they had all melted into the head. two of them i was able to get out, but the other two have some melted plastic all over the plugs. anyone know how to get that crap out? max power
Use a screw driver to chisle it away enough to get a socket on it. I would replace the plugs, cap and rotor with the wires unless they are fairly new. Glad to hear it wasn't anything major.
Benyen Soljax
problem is the bottom part of the wires was a rubber boot...
Benyen Soljax
theres beer and/or cash for anyone who can help get these plugs out depending on how difficult it is

wolfman
So the rubber is melted around the hex part of the plug so you can't get the socket onto it?
Benyen Soljax
the plastic above the rubber melted. the wire plug thing broke off and i busted up the melted plastic, but the rubber boot, which is around the insulator, is still down in there. maybe some really long needle nose pliers and a crafty hand could get them out. i have neither of those things, but i do have beer! wolfman
Gotcha, I might have some needle nose in my tool box at my apt. I'm at work until 8 though. You're near campus right? I could probably stop by after I get off work though...if you haven't got it fixed by then.

wolfman
Hmm...it sounds like you should take Max Power's advice and try to chisel that shit outta there..
Benyen Soljax
Hmm...it sounds like you should take Max Power's advice and try to chisel that shit outta there..well i would if it wasnt rubber. i already got most of the melted plastic out but it doesnt help much with the big thing of rubber sitting pretty down there
wolfman
Sounds like a gasket/o-ring hook like this would help:http://www.restockit.com/7-O-Ring-Seal-and-Scribe-w-Hook-End-(CEN6542).html?source=froogle
Benyen Soljax
yeah i think something like that might do it. got one?
max power
If you can get ahold of it with some needle nose, I'd tug on it while spraying some WD or such around it to help unbond it from the metal.
