Berto Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 alright guys i'm doing a wheel bearing on my mom's van. anyways how hard is it to do a wheel bearing, they have the part at advanced auto. but what is the process i have to do to replace it? i looked in a generalized chiltion's manual but its very vague. also if any of you have some time i wouldn't mind some help. thanks in advance... 20G TSi Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 Its generally very easy. The hardest part is getting the crush nut off. Once you've done that, its all gravy from there. pack the new bearing with grease and torque the crush nut to spec. GRN96WS6 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 I do believe that you need to remove the caliper before removing that nut otherwise it would be pointless.
