I came across a couple old games i used to play and wanted to play them again but i keep getting this error when i try to open them...

"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. THE SYSTEM FILE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RUNNING MS-DOS AND MICROSOFT WINDOWS APPLICATIONS. CHOOSE CLOSE TO TERMINATE APPLICATION."

Someone please explain to me what this means and how i can fix it.

Thanx.

Right click on the shortcut then click on properties. Then click on the compatability tab on the top. Then check the run program in compatability mode box. Then select the operating system that your game is made for. Click ok.

See if that works.

Quite simple actually. Spyware/adaw3are programs sometimes remove this file. Spybot always removes mine.

Just simply go into c:\windows\repair directory, copy the autoexec.nt file. Then paste it into c:\windows\system32 and reboot. tongue.gif
