Between the two trees there is a little sapling. The birch tree says, "I wonder if that sapling is a son of a birch or a son of a beach." The beach tree says, " I don't know." Just then a woodbecker flies by and the birch tree calls him over and says, "Hey, Mr. Woodpecker, can you fly down there and tell us if that sapling is a son of a birch or a son of a beach." The woodpecker says, "No problem, I'll be right back." After a few minutes the woodpecker comes back and says, "Well, it's not a son of a birch or a son of a beach, but it is the best piece of ash my pecker's been in all day!"
