KazeSupra
Sup guys I have a Black/Burgandy '89 Turbo Supra for Sale. Bad: Smokes during startup (in process of fixing) Coolant leak (in process of fixing) Input shaft bearing needs to be replaced Rust spot on two body panels Rust in spare tire well rough paint rough interior couple of small interior pieces missing (door lock trim, etc.) small hole in accordian hose Power steering is not working (in process of fixing) Good JDM engine with 33K miles on it Random Technology Catback Exhaust 91-92 White MKIII wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport tires with 80%+ tread left The car will be in decent running condition very soon. I will also have pictures up soon, hopefully on Saturday. Asking $1300 as it sits, or $2000 if I get it running before it's sold, or possible trade for beater DSM AWD 5spd vehicle + cash, OBO. Guest 00Smurf
so is the bad going to be fixed before it is bought or is the price as it sits now?
Art
I hope so it is an after it is fixed price.
KazeSupra
Well, I'm working on it getting fixed, but since everyone wants a price range, that's what it is. Prices are negotiable within reason. The coolant leak and hopefully the smoke will be solved by the end of the weekend. I'm also working on cleaning up the interior a little and replacing the missing interior pieces, which are very few. Any more questions, let me know. That is the most likely cause. If so then it is about $200-300 to do it cheaply, 5-600 to do it right. gl with it. hmm u minght try the TSRM online. Its all of the toyota supra repair manuals scanned and posted on a webpage.

KazeSupra
I'll be doing a compression check to finalize what it is. The coolant leak is external, not internal as far as I know, as I haven't had the car running long enough to tell that. I am going to finalize it this weekend as far as what it is, and hopefully it's just something stupid. Chris.
Doug1647545489
Smoke on start up is usually valve seals.
stealthmonkey
a compression test isnt going to help you on that issue. You need to take a leak down tester on it.

KazeSupra
I found a Felpro headgasket for 66.95 I think at autozone, but it's online order only. I guess if that's the problem, then that's what I'll have to do.
