The only car I have sold was broke, and sold as a car with a motor that has never ran. The problem with it was it sounds like its gonna start but wont turn over, and the person buying it knew that :-p. But they told me it was gonna be an sr20 anyways. When we yanked the head I found a junkyard head with more miles than imaginable and a block that has goop in the coolant passages( with traces of stop leak), pistons and cylinder walls with water markson them and enough carbon on them to kill a small child.
