Mitch
4.2 from 76 maybe earlier-until 90 in the YJ. The 4.0L uses the same block as this one, just different stroke and heads. I'll verify those dates, but it is the 4.2L 258. Thank you for your interest. edited, dates verified

Mitch
Thank you! As far as trades go, I would consider a truck or a fox body of comparable value. Let me know what you've got.

Mitch
No bolts you just lift them off. If I'm out somewhere and want to ride doorless and topless it takes about a minute to drop the top and store the doors on the back seat.
fooswinger
hey mitch, well I just found out that my s10 w/58000 miles on it ...blew the timing chain. so I won't be able to trade unforuately. Mitch
New price, $3800 gotta sell it, to make major repairs to the mustang. Little things on the mustang, you know like the tranny and rear end, maybe a little body work, fix a leaking gas tank. I didn't have these problems with my Z28 Jeep is in great shape, I drive it daily to work. Nice weather is coming and it is a blast topless. copperhead
Are you still thinking about trading for a truck? If so, what are you looking for?
Mitch
It would have to be a really cheap truck because I need the cash to pay for the stang. I still need a truck, to haul my dirtbike.
Mitch
SOLD! Lock it up. The jeep is going to live out the rest of its days on a big farm with lots of fields for her to play and work in. Serious.
zeitgeist57
What a waste. I wish you were closer. Whomever is using that thing for a farm truck should buy my '67 instead, and I could've bought and taken that thing to the beach here in FL.
