Buckeye1647545503
1. Who's saying I'm spending a bunch of money? 2. True, Mustangs never lose. That car, however, is a Cobra. Sorry for the quasi-thread hijack, Wease. Back on topic, a ported/pullied 03 Cobra will be a monster. Too bad you don't street race. Your bunch of money and mine might .....most likely 2 differant amounts but it doesn't realy mater anyway
MaTS1200
Nice color choice. Get some DR's for it before you go to the track, getting these cars out of the hole can be very tricky on stock rubber. It'll cost you a lot of ET and MPH when your forced to short shift first and second gear due to wheel hop. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. You can take advantage of the hundreds of hours that I've logged on the internet researching the 03 Cobra. Those hours should have been devoted to porn search. Good luck with the car. However, IPS is treating me right (as they always do); why do you think I refuse to go anywhere else? Nice color choice. BTW, Wease, you given any consideration to adding a small shot of N20 on top of that ported/pullied set up you mentioned? Great gains, and relatively safe - I ran an 80 shot on mine all day long and never had an issue with it. With just a 50-shot on my (IMO, relatively weak) 03 Cobra w/ just a pulley/chip/CB, I put down 530rwhp; on a ported/pullied set-up, a 50 shot should put you over 600rwhp. badzinc03
Nice find! I just bought an 03 zinc yellow cobra a few weeks ago. I have the SLP CB and love it. You realize after minor mods like that and a CAI, you need to get tires. I would reccomend the nitto 555R on the back and the 555RII on the front, great tires to get traction and also alright if you get stuck in the rain since it is my daily driver. Wease
BTW, Wease, you given any consideration to adding a small shot of N20 on top of that ported/pullied set up you mentioned? I've thought about it. Should I have the funds, in the future, I'd just like to go big single turbo and become the new King of 270... Actually, I still have my set of Nitto DR's from when I sold my Formula. They have maybe 1K miles on them, if that. They are in perfect shape, never even used at the track. I kept them because I figured sooner or later, I was going to get a Cobra. And no, the car is not my daily driver. It sits in the garage when the weather is bad, right next to "Mustang Sr."... Dr. Pomade
Yea these cars can get pretty quick for not that much cash.....mods soon to come.... That's what I kept saying to you: $80 for a pulley, $200 for a tune, $65 for the dyno time, and you'll net like 50rwhp. That's about the best hp per $ ratio you can get, I think. Hwilli1647545487
I think 15 bucks for a manual boost controller, 150 bucks for a dp, and 75 bucks for a BCC for 80whp is better. I C U

Jeffrey
$150 DIY Alky + Turbo Buick = +100hp FTW Although I am going to spend over $500 on my kit people have gotten such gains out of homemade alky kits. And with the right turbo/converter setup now worries on lag either!
Guest cgotti
So I get the T/A running again and you start getting worried that the '86 won't be able to handle it. I see how your going to be. That's OK, I'll be more than happy to put both your mustangs in my rearview at Norwalk. BTW, nice car, I like it.
Guest powers
Sean when you are ready to start modding the car let me know. Jeff has set up several accounts for mustang parts and can get quite a bit of parts for cheap. As far as the turbo thing if you are interested PM me I can fill you in. Got-Boost?
And don't forget, Cobra's have an IRS, so you have to be careful on how you launch it. But for a few hundred bucks, I can upgrade some parts of the IRS and be fine with it. There are Cobras on the stock IRS in the 10's. I might bring it by the COFBA meeting Saturday, I'll have to see if I have time or not... There are actually some in the 9's! Congrat's! Brings back memories as I had one exactly like it...
