zeitgeist57
Hypothetically , if I were to buy my wife the CTS-V she wants to replace her Passat, which would be better? '04-05 LS6 or the '06 LS2? Understanding that there is no replacement for displacement (normally answering my question right there) does the LS2 give up anything to the LS6 in terms of durability, higher RPM power, etc? I know the LS2 uses LS6 heads and a modified block.
badzinc03
I personally like the ls6, I think its a little bit of a quicker revving car.
Linn1647545492
the ls2 block is much stronger and if you ever put a cam in the car it will make more power.
98fiveseven1647545503
LS6 intake flows better. IMO LS6 its a bit more "higher" class then the "run of the mill" LS2 although both are freakin sweet
Kohones
I thought everyone new (now) / LS6 rules - period. (except for maybe the LS7, schools still out on that one) -

Guest racinbird
IMO both engines will perform pretty equally, unless you are really going to get into the engine, I would buy what ever you can find for the best deal. Go for a Cadillac used car lot and find one slightly used with a GM certified 6yr 100000 bumper to bumper factory warranty.

l36tols1
you cant go wrong with either one.. but the rears ends are really weak you might want to stop by ls1tech.com in the cts-v section they will tell you all you need to know...
