Lustalbert Posted May 6, 2006 Report Share Posted May 6, 2006 In the 50s they used a variable belt drive on cefentrigal superchargers, also used 2 speed gearbox shifted by throttle position (studerbaker may have even had this for a factory option, been a while since I read it) Idea has been around for a while, just technology has caught up to making it reliable and afordable.
