coty061885
Shit, they're out already? Guess I haven't been paying attention. I can say I'm pretty jealous, that's a damn good looking car. Good work on picking black.
Skinner
they are on serious back order. most places ar 6 ot 8 months out. looks good so what are plans oh forge bottom end for the win.
Mallard
Immediate plans are the development of a "basic" bolt on turbo kit good for about 300HP on the stock motor. After that the limit will be pushed until I need a forged bottom end. The goal is 400ish HP, which, given the stroke of this engine, should give me around 460 ft-lbs. There's a kit out now that gets ~330HP/380Ft-LBS at the wheels on the stock bottom end. But I don't like a few things about his kit, and I'm not sure how much I want to tempt fate. P.S. Anyone care to make me a new sig identical to my old one, but with this pic: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/SaturnSig2.jpg Maybe I should get a better pic without my shadow in it... Mallard
wait I thought the botom ends were forged or is that just the 2.2s?? The crank is cast...but I would keep that until it breaks. The rods are forged. But it has over 10:1 compression ratio so I'm leary of boosting 20psi on that.

Rally Pat
Saturn has really stepped up their game in the last couple years. They dont really make shitty cars anymore. Nice purchase, man.

verse
Looks nice. If you ever need any work done to it under warrenty, call me up. I'm sure I could "find" that the bottom end blew up due to manufacture defects. No seriously though, if you need anything or find anything wrong with it I can get it done. I work at the Mill Run Saturn.

Mike_Shepard
Reach for the SKY ..... Very nice man I like it Also iff the crank is anything like the origanal Ecotec crank then I don think you'll have much problems with it holding extra HP
Slimpsy1647545505
sweet ride I did a couple sigs for ya A more "engraved" look. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1469/5630295/11197993/167080605.jpg A more "bold" look. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1469/5630295/11197993/167067803.jpg
turbomark
I saw one of those on 71 a few days ago. From a ways back when you can only see the taillights it looks really exotic, the lights are set real high up on the decklid and very wide as well. Kudo's to GM for not changing the already beautiful opel gt design. I look foward to gm bringing more of their euro cars over as saturns. Very nice man I like it Also iff the crank is anything like the origanal Ecotec crank then I don think you'll have much problems with it holding extra HP Yeah, I don't expect it to be a huge problem, but there will be a lot of torque with the longer stroke of the 2.4L. If it fails I could always de-stroke it with a Cobalt SS or Solstice GXP/Redline forged crank. But for now I like the idea of building a torque monster. SinisterX - Thanks for the sig. I like that first one and will be stealing it when I get home from work. Thanks to everyone else for the comments. GM definitely did things right on the exterior design of this car. Driving it actually reminds me of driving Morgan's 93 240SX when it was stock. Except it has no back seat, meatier tires, and gets more attention.
