Archie Posted July 14, 2006 Report Share Posted July 14, 2006 Well my old Thinkpad is getting pretty beat; the battery just went out on it, screen in going, 40 GB hard drive sucks ass, no cool stuff (bluetooth ect.). This system will be mainly used at home for gaming, watching movies, dicking around on the internet. I got some cash sitting around, just wanted to know if anyone has seen any crazy deals lately. Of course I checked out the usual -- Dell, Retail (bestbuy/circuit city usualy have junk). I usually get good recommendations from intelligent people here... It's not my fault most construction companies in Columbus don't pay jack shit and do not treat their engineers well. If you've never been in IA, I guarantee you would not be able to tell the difference from Ohio. I was employed for the IT dept. at my college, for 3 yrs I worked on tons of MACs and never liked them. I never feel guilty making fun of them.
