Habitual Sinner
I recently got a 1995 jeep grand cheroke with a 5.2l in it and when i went to hook up the battery the lights began to flash. I got in it and tried to start it and it would start and die and probley stay running for 3 seconds and the sercurity light is flashing when i try to start it. And it is the factory system with no computer chip key. Is this two differnt issues or is the computer not letting the car start? and how do iI fix it? Guest Hal
you have to have the key fob as far as I know...wait, I lied. To disarm it you need to unlock everything including the tailgate with the key.
nurkvinny
If the above solutions do not fix your problem, try turning ignition forward to accessory (not start) for 15-20 minutes and see if the Security light goes off. Don't try to start the vehicle during this time.
Guest Removed
If the above solutions do not fix your problem, try turning ignition forward to accessory (not start) for 15-20 minutes and see if the Security light goes off. Don't try to start the vehicle during this time. that only works on GMs put the key in the drivers door, lock and unlock it..if the doors switchs are junk try the passenger side door. you dont need the key fob!
