mrtbolt64
Is the seam where the frame rail meets the shock tower rotted out?
s13
I wouldn't recommend weilding with flexcore if it needs to hold some weight.
XChris1632X
i told matt that i would help you guys with whatever you needed. but i told him to get gas first. and some er70s-6 wire. that flux is nasty and will never be good quality in my opinion. i might be buying a new lincon 220 welder friday from my snap on guys but im not sure yet. i know its all ready to go but i can weld with either 110 or 220. as for the metal visit research alloys they are basically a scrap yard for metal but sell complete sheets to small things and its all at scrap yard price. XChris1632X
also i didnt know if you were planning on welding the torque boxes up also. if you are i would not use the 110. it can be done but you will have 20 times better quallity with a good 220. 88lx5oh
Is the seam where the frame rail meets the shock tower rotted out? yup you are correct.. not fully, but with time it will be so fix it now while its stripped out, and th efenders are off
mrtbolt64
yup you are correct.. not fully, but with time it will be so fix it now while its stripped out, and th efenders are off Do both sides and be done, seems as if the passenger side is the 1st to go. Try to find some 1/16 sheet metal and you will need some 1" diameter tubing to replace the supports for the k-member. Maybe these pics might help you, have any questions just ask, I already been threw it http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/450002242/18.JPG http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/450002242/19.JPG http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/450015675/12.JPG

mrtbolt64
I can tell ya everything you need to do and what tools it will require but there is one thing I can not do and that is weld. I am machinist and cut and made all my own patches but a friend welded them all in for me. He is down and Logan other wise he may help you if you were closer to him.
