evan9381 Posted October 16, 2006 Report Share Posted October 16, 2006 what the fuck is sweetest day? back when i was in school, we called it 'valentines day' and it was in febuary. my girlfriend made some mention of it this weekend, and now im like...wtf. i looked up something on yahoo and it says this 'holiday' is most celebrated in the michigan/new york/ohio region. my boss did the same thing last week, telling us that today is 'bosses day'. and i think someone posted about 'grandparents day' a while back. hallmark needs to quit making up dumb excuses for a holiday. I'm lucky though, my girlfriend would be totally happy with some flowers and maybe dinner. But, I'm sure there are women out there that want something materialistic and expensive "just because."
