street pilot
Wouldnt work real well for hollow aluminum, but solid should be OK.. were the threads that stripped aluminum? Purchase at Napa or online.

jeffmeden
I get em off ebay, its usually around $20 shipped for a kit with coils, tap, and insertion tool, all you need to add is the drill bit which you can usually get from the same place if you need one. I f*ing HATE aluminium...

Renner
http://www.mcmaster.com, a great online resource for all sorts of hardware. Standard shipping usually arrives next day as well since they have a large warehouse in northern Ohio. You can also use the locking style Keenserts, they typically anchor better in softer materials then standard helicoils. Do a search on mcmaster for key-locking thread insert. Don't forget to buy the install tool.
MrMeanGreen
McMaster-Carr also has a retail store in Columbus if you need something ASAP. They have a helluva in-store inventory, and as Brett said, can next day items as well if not stocked.
