Rally Pat
If your car doesnt have a place to mount a front plate, do you need one? For now, I have been keepin it in my windshield.
Patrick
http://www.statepatrol.ohio.gov/FAQsequipment.htm That has some general statements, but nothing relating, really.
copperhead
Legally, it has to be on your bumper. I've known many people to get pulled over for having it in the windshield.
TheHaze
Yup, I got cited for it last year. I had it on the inside of the windshield. I was pulled over for speeding and the officer started looking over everything else he didn't like on my car.
Ramsey
I have been told by 2 cops, when pulled over, that it just needs to be visible. forty dollar ticket, and most likely the bracket is close to that price.
Dr. Apex
Gotta be completely visible from a distance, I've been told different stories from different cops but the one constant is you must have a front plate.

Unless you have a collector plate.

Kevin R.
I think someone needs to invent some kind of electronic "tag" that stores your "number" and the cop can just point a doohicky at your car and it will tell him. Then we can end this whole plate gayness.
2 Sweet
I've always had my plate in my windshield. I got pulled over for it once because the cop didn't see any front plate, so I pointed to where it was clearly displayed in the windshield. He said "oh ok, didn't see it, I'll let you off with a warning."
Guest 78novaman
Just get or make a front plate holder. It will be one less thing for the police to hassle you about. I know how you are, you'll be in a heap of trouble soon enough anyway
