Bam
So yeah, I'm bad at christmas and I still haven't finished, well kinda started I guess, but that's besides the point. I want to get my dad a ticket or whatever to a driving event, like that we could go to together. My dad's been going through some ups and downs, divorce and just work stuff and I've been way to busy to really spend any time with him, so I thought this would be cool, get to drive fast and do it together. Anyways, never done anyhting like this, and I dont care if we drive our own cars or the track's cars, but where would I get something like this? If possible can I do it for under $100/person? If that's not a good idea, what do you recommmend for a 45 y/o dad going through a mid-life crisis, lol. thanks guys, christmas is like tomorrow, haha damn. lawnman
Go to Nelson ledges web-site. They have what they call " fun days" . At the fun days you can race your car around the track. Your car will have to pass a tech inspection. Go to their web- site to find out more. I believe the web-site is http://www.nelsonledges.com
AI Coupe
I've joined NASA (http://www.nasaproracing.com) cause I had to for a license but after reading more they really have their act together on just what you are looking for. Any car you drive on the street (reasonable) has a class. Driving levels progress from instructor on board to (almost) full out racing. You will use a set or two of pads and a set of tires in a weekend. They usually run 4 20 minute sessions each day for up to three day weekends. Hope this helps. Ron I forgot, like said above you will go thru tires and pads. But it is fun and worth every penny.
AI Coupe
If you go to the NASA site and you want days on track, go to HPDE/Open Track on the left of the home page. Ron

AI Coupe
Look at HPDE1... instructor on board, HPDE2... solo no passing, HPDE3 point & pass and HPDE4 racing with (minor) restrictions. Ron
