TheHaze
Does anyone have experience with Stab Lok circuit breaker systems? Ours is pretty old and the water heater's breaker just went out. I've called around and Stab Lok parts are super expensive and must be ordered because they're not made anymore. I just read that they're not made anymore because they're supposedly dangerous and can cause fires easily. Any recomendations?

Tractor
Yeah Federal Pacific. I have those breakers in my house. Hard to get since they no longer sell those old style ones because they didn't always break the circuit in an emergency. I got a couple that blow all the time I just reset them and forget it. Check to make sure the wires are getting good contact and keep using it until you can replace the service. That is probably the best/safest route. TheHaze
Yeah, my furnace's breaker goes out all the time so I reset it. But the water heater isn't getting any power at all and the breaker does nothing either way. I turned the breaker off and then on and heard the water heater doing something but still wasn't getting any power. I took a shower one night and the very next morning I wasn't getting any hot water. Tractor
Check the breaker on the water heater too unless you've already done so. Evan
