I cruised around a bit yesterday and spent some time waxing my new mx-5. Came out pretty good but I pretty much suck at cleaning/detailing.

I was trying to show the reflection of the paint but the pic turned out like this. Anyone know what the sparkle things are? They aren't present on the actual car:

I just realized flash was on in that reflection pic. Could that be why those sparkles appeared?

It is usually dust or lint. But could also be small rockchips and/or hail chips that you can't visibly see without flash.

Looks like dust on the sensor in the camera. Go through your camera and see if its got a clean mode. More high end cameras have a sensor clean. P&S cameras dont normally have it.
