How can laptop 2 share its wireless broadband with laptop 1 ? Google Internet Connection Sharing. Run the network setup wizard on Laptop 2 and look for the option "Allow other computers to use this connection"
87GT
Yeah I tried that and it doesn't work. I even ran the network sharing wizard and saved it to the usb flash drive to install in the other computer. Laptop one can not see laptop
Acec
I think you got to use adhoc for the two wireless cards to link . Or just use a crossover cable .
Nate1647545505
I think you got to use adhoc for the two wireless cards to link . Or just use a crossover cable . Ad Hoc is correct as you aren't connecting the two machines via access point. Have you created the Ad Hoc network connection between the two laptops before running the network setup wizard? Make sure you are selecting the right network connection on laptop #1 that connects to the internet.
Akula
PC 1 and PC 2 have to run an AD-HOC network in order to communicate with eachother (802.11 doesn't allow to PCs in infrastructure mode to communicate other than 802.11 control traffic). Then PC 2 can ICS with PC 1. You will probably have to setup IP addresses on the wireless sides of each PC that are in the same subnet. This probably will not work at OSU if you are there trying to do it, they run Aruba gear detecting AD-HOCs and are probably not allowing it. If you still have problems I am a wireless networking instructor for a wireless networking company so I may be able to help.

Clifford Automotive
Hmm not to jack your thread. I can see all my laptops in each other and my pcs. There is one pc that does not show up on the network and it can not view the other computers on the network either. I looked and looked for hours on microsoft and other sites and found nothing. All the computers have had the usb setup ran on them. No matter how many times I try it wont show up. I could give a shit less about computer to computer, i just want to print from my laptops. Any help thank in advance. Again sorry to jack your thread. Might as well keep all this info together for later archive.
