I have a friend who is a madman on the treadmills, and takes him no time to trash a cheap one. The more he pays the longer the next one seems to last. I know you said new stuff but have you checked at Play it Again Sports? I know things like ellipticals/treadmills end up turning into a clothes rack for most people, that's why I'd suggest lookin in the paper too for a used one.
