Engine Bay cleaning

I'd like to hear what you guys use. I have old fuel residue from a leaky TB and the usual oil and random grease mess lower in the bay. I know there is stuff out there that works great but is harmful to the paint. I am interested in what you guys have personally worked with that worked well.

Tell us what you used and post a before and after pic if you feel frisky.

Thanks in advance,

CJ

Some use simple green (but make sure you rinse it all off or it can mess up aluminum)

I use cheap purple degreaser that you can find at just about any store. Get a small bucket and a brush and go to town. Then when it comes time to rinse it off... put the hose on wide spray, then go back and forth without leaving it on one area for long.

I soak the engine bay w/ Simple Green Max. Let is soak about 5 minutes. I then rinse the engine bay w/ the high pressure setting from the hose.

i think the brand is "gunk" or something...its at autozone...get the foaming kind, let it sit about 10 min, rinse off, spray bay again, go over with a flimsy brush any spots that need a little loosening of the dirt, and rinse again...then spray down w/ cd-2 and rub it in so you dont get spots

absolutely no hard work involved in this
