TTQ B4U
That's no spider bite.....it's more like an incredibly bad MRSA Staph infection which often start out like what folks think are spider bites. Better hope that dude gets some Bactroban cream and Bactrim Pills. FYI.....always wash your face extremely well before you shave. Especially if you travel and stay in hotels. MRSA is no fun. I've had it twice but never near that bad.

TTQ B4U
I'm not doubting you....just google or yahoo search on mrsa and click on images....hold on....you'll begin to hurt when you see them. The first one I got was on my butt cheek....yep...very common place....looked like a spider bite and hurt like hell.....got it tested and treated way, way ahead of that dude. The other one was scary as it was on my chin....and that fucker got the size of a walnut inside and hurt too. grew large in two-three days. treated again and thankfully never needed lanced. no scar either. Believe me, we've been down the road of MRSA and I feel like an expert now. my daughter was 7 days old when she had it initially. got it from the her 2 day wellness check. collinated our whole family. son at age 3 got it on his belly/upper groin....not pretty on a 3yr old. Thankfully, we're all in the clear and have all been tested...no carriers. Since I got infected twice, the Docs even had to treat my nose and had me take bleach baths. One side note...MRSA is prone to grow in the nose.....thus why you've always been told not to eat your buggers as a kid. True fact. Just remember, wash face then shave...even if you use an electric....in fact especially. I use the Braun Self cleaning system now too. Well it says he got bit by a spider. Not sure if that's true or not.

Damn.. that makes me think. I should have taken a video with my phone when the doc lopped off my toe nail. hehe.

Sturg1647545502
we seem them all the TIME!!! The shitty thing about this guy doing it himself...the tweezers and cutting tools he used to I&D it(incision and drain) his abcesss...they arnt sterile. so after draining it and NOT packing it with sterile packing, its going to fill up with purulent fluid(puss and blood) and come back again just as bad or worse. PS....EVERYONE ALLWAYS assumes they are spider bites simply because they dont know the exact origin on the abscess. Most of the time, like Tim said, its an ingrown hair that gets infected..and that compounded with Dirty houses, dirty furniture, poor living conditions, not showering on a daily basis, sedimentary lifestyle(sitting on your ass alot Due to being lazy, pregnate, or yourjob) = bad abcess. Its a growing problem where i work(inner city columbus), sometimes low income families who live in dirty houses will get them..mom, dad and their 53984kids. its only untill they move or do some serious cleaning and replace their 20year old couch do they stop getting them (By no means am i saying that tim, his family or his house is dirty...what im referring to is the inner city population who are commonly seen downtown) Over the past 3-4years Childrens hospital has seen something like a 3fold increase of kids with abscesses. TTQ B4U
No worries...I know what you mean. We know my daughter contracted it at St. Ann's and populated our family. We did have to go through a thorough cleaning, bleaching of the towels, etc....though. We were all swabbed and I was found to be a nasel carrier, thus why I was treated with oral and nasel drugs. Bleach baths every other day were done during my treatment too. Scarey thing is we are a neat freak familiy and my wife and I are very safe with washing hands, etc....but IMO, you just can't be 100% anytime anywhere and it only takes 1 bug to get you. Dateline regularly does stories on this....last year they found MRSA in hotels on the trays in airplanes and rental cars. I travel a lot and that's why I'm always extra careful. I carry a 4oz airplane safe clorox spray and folks sometimes think I'm nuts....but I've not been sick for a long, long time.
