On that 283, i think that was just something he had laying around. But yea, for some one that wanted to drop a nasty ass 406 or something in, that car can be a brutal sleeper. hell if i had some extra cash i would buy it and finish it up... He put the 283 in there because like Matt said it was pretty much given to him. He was going to put a built 350 in the car but for whatever reason he has decided to sell this car. Trust me the work on this car is some of the best you will see. BTW you sure you saw this same car at Cappys? Cause im pretty sure he has only driven this thing on the streets a few times. All this car really needs is a good paint job. I wonder why the car was at crappy's, i mean cappy's though? hmmm also, yea everyone knows that ford makes the best rear ends. first the 9" now the 8.8. In my book, the Miata is a perfect weekend car - cheap, fun, and impractical! You should drive/race one before passing judgement.
