Update, finally made some room in the garage this week and started to fire it up. After replacing the vacuum lines on the carbs and doing a tune-up, she fired right up. I will still need to rebuild the carbs before actually getting it on the road. At least now I have a better understanding of where I stand. Next step will be to tear it apart and try my hand at some body work. Theres not alot of work to be done but a few areas will have to be bondo'ed and I will end up rplacing a rear spoiler with a new panel. I will try to take pics of it along the way and post progress pics as I go. Just as in my last project (motorcycle), I will see how far I can go using as little cash as possible. That project resulted in me getting my bike for I believe less than $100.

My Dad had one when he was a teenager, he had a blast with his. IIRC Ralph Nader targeted that car in a book called Unsafe At Any Speed.
