AJ
on thursday to my service manager. he tells my service director on friday and then he in turn tells my service manager to tell me to get my shit and get out. it worked out better for me and the dealer i'm going to since they wanted me to start on monday but thats the most fucked up thing to do to someone. oh well, good luck on putting those transmissions back together i left apart and hope GM doesn't aduit any of the corvette RO's since they will reject any warranty clams made that doesn't have my number on them, and get charged double for it too. on to better pay and more work w00t w00t! 2pointslow
At least you tried the right thing. Managers hate it when people quit even if you put in your 2 weeks notice. Some time i think its just better to quit, most managers will ride your ass the next 2 weeks. But congrats on the better job.

LPFSTheFett
At my company we perfer people to just quit vs. give two weeks notice. Most of the time, we basically do the same thing. They give us their two weeks notice and we escort them out. There are only a few jobs at our office where we wouldn't do this. It's a very large risk for a company to take leaving an employee employeed that they know is leaving for another job. The employee usually doesn't give their full effort knowing they are leaving. However, we can even get past that. Look at what your saying. Your leaving because you are making more money some where else(Nobody can blame you, everybody does it). Your old job doesn't want you telling other employees that because it gets the 'bug' in their head that they too can make more money. I was a Team Leader at Discover Card and had worked their for 6 years. I gave them 3 weeks notice and they did the same thing to me. I really can't blame them. I had 25 employees under me in addition to being a very visable individual. It was way too big of a risk leaving me there. I could have easily recruited people to my next job. I too left for more money and opportunity. Just giving you my input as a business owner. On a side note ... Good to know your so close to me, if I need to take my car in for anything! Good luck in the new job and congrats on the pay increase! Jason
Drewhop
Some of the guys that work for that place need a serious reality check. Grats on the new job i havent thought one time about going back since i left. But i did the walk out after picking up check and then they tried for a week to get me to come back. I just cant handle all the bs of some of the larger dealerships.
koolrayz
I agree with Jason, I had the same thing happen to me and I didnt blame them a bit. The problem with the this idea is any shit talking or recruitment possibilities would have happenend before the notice was givin. Also the employer that did it to me PAID me for the two weeks. MrMeanGreen
I did it at my last job as well, and due to security risks working with customer's credit card information, was escorted out and given two weeks off with pay and benefits. AJ
On a side note ... Good to know your so close to me, if I need to take my car in for anything! Good luck in the new job and congrats on the pay increase! Jason plus i'm C6 certified as well. i don't blame them for doing it but, of all the people in the back to quit that gave them a 2 weeks notice i'm the only one that they asked to leave, they feel that i owe them to stay there for "all that they have done for me" my pay check shows me all that you have done for me:rolleyes: . drew... we had 5 salesman, the GM, the used car manager, everyone in finiance, 2 in the office up stairs and Sam quit all within a month. oh and me.
