HAOLE
I have a 96 Explorer 4wd that is my daily driver. Over the past month or so the transmission has started doing something funny. When shifting out of park into reverse or drive, the trans will make a knocking sound and will shakes the car. The noise stops when I put it back in park. It almost acts like it is trying to go into reverse and drive at the same time. The trans will sometimes stall the engine. When I get it into gear, it shifts and drives fine. I did have the trans fluid change last month after the problem started. The trans was rebuilt at 125K and it now has about 170K. I was thinking maybe a problem in the valve body or with one of the solenoids. Any clues???? Thanks in advance
