Science Abuse
Jag needs new eyes, 9006 and 9005HB. Is there actually a brand out there that IS better than others in terms of providing light? Not OMG CAN EYE GIT DA BUE WONZ!? I see lights ranging from $7 to $50 without a gimmick, just advertising superior beam. Is the beam superior to the midrange?
Clifford Automotive
I always ran Luks in all of my volkswagens. Never have a seen a light blue and more intense then those. Its been a while since I have bought any so I am not sure of the price. I would have to pull my VW file.

Doug1647545489
Silverstars are nice. I had them before my HIDs.
Clifford Automotive
Silvesstars are junk and way over priced.
thorne
Shoiw me something better then silverstars, They look 20% better then stock. They have a nice tint to them that helps in the rain.
SpaceGhost
Silverstars suck, I liked my Piaas on my 02 WRX, they just burn out every 1.5 years. I think the White ones were $70 a pair. I love my setup now with my HIDs and my Yellow fogs, best of both worlds.
craig71188
Check Cibie or Hella (links below)- the two best performance lighting manufacturers for decades - Piaa a close second. These two manufacturers are the premier suppliers to race teams (and offer tremendous trackside support). I think International Parts Store still stocks Hella -or you can always find them online. http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaUSA/WebSite/Channels/Home/Home.jsp http://cibie.valeoservice.com/html/uk/nouvellestechnologies.xenon.php
Scotty2Hotty
I sell PIAA's and HID conversions here. The PIAA's are normally in the $70 range, but for a straight replacement bulb, they're well worth the $$ and come with a year warranty. Our HID conversions start round $400. Clifford Automotive
That sure is expensive for HID conversion. Thorne you surely didnt see my posts before. I just showed you something better then overpriced silverstars. I stopped replacing bulbs when I could no longer get LUKS it wasnt worth it. Smokey
don't waste your money on HIDs unless you can get a proper projector for your car. Buy a nice bulb setup and be content that you did everything you could.
Skinner
I woul like to have HIDs just can't bring myseld to spend that kinda money for lights. I have Silver stars now and they are ok but def would like to find something better that I can pick up locally.
04silvrz
I had silverstars and they burnt out in less than 2 months. JUNK!
Smokey
HID's are worth every penny.. installing them is short and painless too I agree, but only when pared with a proper projector, otherwise you're not getting anything for your money other than pretty light spread out in all the wrong places. Chadz89GTA
I had silverstars and they burnt out in less than 2 months. JUNK! I've had them in my TA and Bronco II for the past 3 years, never had 1 problem.

Wrong, I have them in non projector form from the factory and my lights are 10x better than the wifes WRX lights and they are the same year car. 05 WRX Wagon vs 05 WRX STI. Clifford Automotive
True that Ben I ran HIDs in my factory camry housing and they were amazing. Put the light in the same spots as the normal bulb but just 10 times the light. Never needed brights.
SpaceGhost
Most idiots that buy the projector kits can't aim them to the legal height, they blind you at night because they are pointing too high. I too could have HID light to about 200 ft in front of my car but being the responsible ricer I am, I leave them at the factory height hell with my 4 settings of height adjustment some times I aim them down on the #1 or #2 setting 3 being the lowest and 0 being the highest. Science Abuse
Well, I went with something simple for now. When I want to get fancy, I'll drop coin on some HIDs. I've got other things that I'd like to use that money on right now.
