Anyone used a trainer in columbus?

Our dog is 8-9 months old; we've done the puppy classes but there are some stubborn behaviors I'm not able to get rid of. Looks like some more training on my part and the dog's would be in order.

Any place someone would recommend? I've been looking something like:

I've never used one, I can suggest some great books if you want to learn how to stop it yourself.

1. Read the puppy book. It has a yellow lab on the front.

2. read Cesars Way

3. watch and pay attention to the meaning behind dog whisper, Pack leader does work.

Personally I enjoyed training my dogs myself and some of my friends I've worked with. What behaviour is it ?

My neighbor across the street has been a professional obedience trainer for over 20 years. She also has one of the top 10 obedience Rottwielers in the country. PM me if you would like her info. She also boards dogs as well and has a doggy day care.

Bring the pup over to my house for a week :D In the last 2 months my dog has been leash and crate trained. Socialized with other dogs, learned sit, heel, down, shake, up, high 5 (kids wanted me to do it), cage, outside, come, and drop.

Its all about being consistent. At first he didnt know anything, then at the one month point everything started to set in. He even knows not to leave the yard when he's outside. I walked him around the edge of the yard on a leash for 3 weeks to show him his boundries.

My wife is a dog trainer at the Hilliard Petsmart. Just make sure to go through with positive reinforcement training, it's the best type of training for a dog.

What is the dog doing that you're trying to get rid of?

I'd agree with most that the dog doesn't need trained it's mostly the owner that needs trained.
