Just to provide some background info on John's T/A and how it has progressed thru the summer I guess it should be stated John never sprayed it (to my knowledge) as his existing nitrous set-up didnt work when it first came here. The car made mid-400rwhp thru the majority of the race season and then finally jumped up to high 400s/low 500s with a header and cut-out install we did toward the end of the season (Late September to be exact). The nitrous didnt get working and tuned until after that and even then it was "Only" a 150-shot. The direct-port set-up didnt happen until this past month so it has raced nobody as it sits (Making 800+rwhp).

 

Just wanted to clear up any confusion about what power levels the car made thru the majority of the year and obviously that was about half of what the car is currently making now.

 

I think (IIRC) Jason did race the car n/a when it was making essentially the same power as his Z06 so on paper it should have been a good race. I wasnt out so I have no comment one way or the other of the variables of the race(s) but just didnt want anyone thinking the car has been out making 800+hp all season :)

You might aswell stop at the first sentence b/c he sprayed on me and garrett racing him on the bikes, TWICE, thats when he lost a serpentine belt. I wont say the car is fast yet till it makes 2 back to back passes without breaking again. Great job IPS.

That was after we fixed it -- my breakdown was in chronological order. The car showed up here with nitrous already "Installed" it just didnt work. After the bigger headers and cut-out were installed we also installed 9/10ths of a NX kit so that the system worked and was on a 100 or 150-shot.

Oh ok....well I would love to see hte track times of this car, like I said back to back passes to prove the worthiness of the car. Me, Sam, Linn and everyone that goes out and races their cars did it so he should too.

Linn and I were there when John first showed up to QS@L with the car. Linn and I talked to him for some time and he was talking about how the car wasnt running right and that he was looking for someone to fix it. We told them that IPS would fix everything on the car and get it to where it should be. And from the first time seeing the car, talking to John, I think IPS turned that car a complete 180 and turned it into a easy driving beast. I have been in the car and I know first hand it runs like almost stock, minus the cam lope and pulls very very hard, n/a, never was in it for a spray run. John has done alot with it and IPS has done an amazing job from how it was running when it first got here.

This is the first time i've posted on C.R..I want to take this time to thank, Sam,with the fast C5 Z06, John Linn & Mark with the 07 Z06 for sending me to IPS Motorsports, with out them my car still wouldn't be running right. IPS motorsports, is a great bunch of guys. They really know how to make a car run. It was great meeting everyone at QS&L even you Jason with the yellow 07 Z06. Your car runs great. You beat me twice when my T.C.(traction control) switch came on. When I made sure it stayed off I pulled you in all 4 gears. By the way,you told me before we raced you never missed a gear in your car but when I won, you missed a gear, NOT!! I'm ready to run for any amount. And that, (AIN'T NO SHIT).

So let me know & bring money.

Have IPS contact me the next time they have your car. I was the one that came up with the fix for the phantom traction control issue and can have them tune the issue out of your car easily.

I've been racing long enough to know when someone is beat and he was beat. I could give two shits less if I lose a race and have never lied about it. Trust me when I say his car motor to motor can't and didn't beat my Z06. :) But hey, if he hangs around till this summer, we can just do another money race on it. He already lost $100 to Sam and Chris racing my car...

I said I beat you by 2and a half cars but the boy in the white honda said it was 4 cars. He was by the 270 ramp when he saw us. I will have my car there in the spring just to race you so get your money ready. You better take it to IPS Motorsports and get it running quicker. See you in the spring.

Hey John this is Mark (martins buddy, met you at martins house and I was the one who showed you the thread on here at Steak and Shake a few weeks ago)

Koolrays,I dont know who you are but I sure would like to fix the TCswitch. It can ruin a good run. I was offering Jason a chance to race me again but we can do it too. I love to race. Have I ever met you? My car is still at IPS so give them a call. Thanks for the help.
