Dave1647545494
do you still have the titles? the purchase price is on the title and was probably a zero if they are questioning it
87GT
Yeah they are probably bugging about real low amounts on the titles. When they do that they contact both parties and ask "how much did the car cost". If you get it wrong they are not going to like you. Try to contact the sellers again. Pay someone to find their phone number. And always keep a log of everything you do to a car you bought. I have a nifty spreadsheet on my computer for that. Clifford Automotive
Some one is getting audited. Been there done that. That want to know how much you payed because the seller of the title is claiming (blank) and you (blank) Its tax fraud.
81mercury
hmm all my titles say 50 bucks for the price paid......its a good thing both of the 2 vehicles i still own came from the same guy for my sake!
nurkvinny
I just got that letter when I sold an '00 Silverado. It is random **cough** **bullshit**. There was an $8000 difference between what I paid and what I sold it for in the same year. That's the IF statement in the State's program that caused my letter to be sent. TA In Progress
Yeah definitely get a hold of these people. I had a buddy (I use that term loosely) screw me on this a few years back, somehow the title ended up saying zero which isn't what it said when I gave it to him. Fortunately he called me once they called him.

Casper
I had it happen once. Not a big deal as long as you're on the up and up. If you lied on the title, expect to get fucked.
