76 280z. 98k miles. very original. lots of pics

This is my 9/75 280z. Originally bought in Cali by a guy in the air force. This was a one owner car until 10/06. Runs and drives well.

It is almost all original, and is a numbers matching car. Only 98,000 original miles. Clean Ohio title.

The frame and floor boards are solid with no rust holes. The battery tray is solid with no rust.

The body has some surface rust, but only one spot needs new metal. The passenger rocker end. The lip of the wheel well is gone and there are 2 small holes. Both front fenders need replaced due to rust at the bottom. The is no rot behind the fenders.

It has some new parts I installed to get it road worthy. New Nissan rear wheel cylinders, brake shoes and hardware. New fuel pump, filter, and new plugs and wires. Also has a new battery.

The interior is all original. The seats are almost perfect. The door panels are very nice. All the rear panels and trim are in great shape. The factory radio and antenna work! The clock did work when I bought it, but since has stopped. I lost the pass side window crank clip. Oops.

The engine runs great. It hasnt been ran much, so it stumbles alittle when first started, but runs great when warmed up. No leaks, and does burn any oil. The transmission is the original 4 speed that shifts normally.

This car still has the original exhaust on it. The muffler, the cat, even the Cali only heat shield is still on the muffler. The exhaust leaks, but its also 33 years old now.

The electrical system works great. All the lights works, alt charges normally, wipers work,etc. Even has the original Koito headlamps.

It has factory a/c, but the compressor is locked up. Everything tested fine electrically. A good used compressor is included with the sale of the car.

The fuel tank has no rust in it, but has a rather large dent in it. It does affect the way the gauge reads. But it looks like it could be pulled out.

The bumpers are in great shape. Chrome looks great. The right front trim piece broke when i took it off. And the valance corners will need replaced due to rust.

All the glass is original and in great shape.

All the locks are original and keyed to one key. Even the glove box. The key is not original. I have the owners manual is good shape too.

It will need shocks. One or two are worn.

The spare tire well has no rust. It has the original spare and tool kit.

I had the car taken to body shop to get it repainted and the one spot redone with new metal. But, they just stuck some bondo over the surface rust spots and let it sit outside for a couple of months. Once i found out they had done nothing but let it sit ouside most of the fall, I brought it back home to my garage. And now a back injury forces me to sell it.

In the pics of it may look like rust on the floors, but it is only surface discoloration or minor surface rust. I have been over the frame several times, with fenders off, and there is no rot or holes under the car. You wont be

dissappionted in it.

I have used rust free OEM fenders, new hatch glass seal and windshield seal for it that can be purchased as well.

This car is a steal at 2000.00. I paid more for it, and have hunderds in new parts on it. Must sell asap. Car is in Westerville Ohio 43082.
