TheCarGuy2021
Not sure where Downers Grove area is, but Gino's East pizza is outstanding. McCormick and Schick's is also excellent.

Lustalbert
Rock Bottom was good, there is also one in Cincy. Good ribs, lots of beer on tap, brewed on location. http://www.rockbottom.com/RockBottomWeb/RBR/Home.aspx
large_x7
PORTILLOS PORTILLOS PORTILLOS! There is one in Downers Grove on Butterfield, but depending on where you are, you might be closer to the one in Bolingbrook. http://www.portillos.com/portillos/locations/ Down-her grove is actually quite a ways from "Chicago" proper, but there is actually quite a lot to do in the suburbs. (I know, I grew up in the next town over) Will you have a car? What part of Downer's Grove will you be in (north, south)? I can point you to a few more places if I know some details.
