I had exactly 25'' at the top of my driveway and it tapered down to 13'' at the street (my son made me a snow measuring stick for Christmas lol). TheHaze
I shoveled my driveway but once I got to the street I realized there's still a foot of mostly undriven snow in the road.

iwishiwascool
I had about 35 inches packed onto my lower deck I just built. I did not build it to sustain that much weight so I had so shovel snow buried up to my waist. I should have snapped some photos. Snow Drifts ftl. TimTaylor751647545500
Here are quite a few of mine. We crashed at a friends' house last night in Grove City after some sledding and took some video & lots of pics today during the drive home and during the dig out process. This was a cool effect from some blowing snow on his front porch. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4980.jpg Me digging out around my car before we left. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4982.jpg His front door. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4984.jpg Action shot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4986.jpg My car in all it's winter glory. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4988.jpg The view from my garage at home (we parked in a neighbor's clean driveway while we shoveled ours) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4990.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4991.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4992.jpg My car here at work tonight. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Blizzard%202008/DSCN4997.jpg

SpaceGhost
You know I don't understand, if you have a car and a driveway, and your going to leave it out in the snow. Why in the fuck would you leave it in the street? I see this everywhere. I mean if you leave it in the driveway, you can then move it to the street and shovel your driveway when it stops snowing and guess what the place where you left the car on the driveway doesn't really need shoveled. SO in turn you shovel less snow! But nope we make it so when the city plow comes through it gets a small .5 sec break as it passes by. Am I the only person here wondering this? dragknee66
I had no problems moving around.. but my complex hasnt been touched by a plow at all during this whole storm. Its about 18" deep everywhere I would guess. I wanted to yell and scream at every moron today on the road in a little car. I mean WTF are you thinking? I bet majority of those dumb asses got stuck today too. UNSAFE.
TTQ B4U
As a photog, I'm bummed but no pics to contribute as I'm beat down tired and going to bed. Made a drive from Madison, WI to home and missed the whole fucking thing! yet at the same time. I left on Thursday and was supposed to fly back in on Friday but no go. Instead me and three co-workers drove to Chi-Town and drank and bar hopped until 5am Two of them hooked up with chicks so they are staying there another night, while the two married guys headed back driving straight through in a brand new Trailblazer LT loaded up and comfy as can be  Took about 8hrs including a 1hr accident traffic snafu involving some less than intelligent drivers who thought they could blow by everyone. In the end it was well worth the trip to sleep in my bed tonight. We didn't see any snow on the pavement until we crossed I-75 in Ohio. It was blue sky and sunshine until then. Amazing how the snow line appeared.

I went down to the gas station to get more gas for the tractor and fill up the mud truck again (drinks like a fish.) Cars would pull in to the lot and stick their noses in about 2 feet of snow. I have no idea how they got that far since my stock height tacoma was unable to go period and I pulled it back to the house and parked it. Guest Hal
I wanted to yell at the black Cobra vert on 71 yesterday, don't drive your Cobra in snow like that. I had absolutely no problems today, I had fun driving through all the unplowed places.

She parked it on the street cause she couldn't make it in the driveway friday at about noon. So i shoveled out the street/driveway so i could manage to get it up into the driveway before the snow plow came around and buried her for weeks. I completely agree with you though... it is stupid to park in the street when you know it is going to snow!

SpaceGhost
The situation I am speaking about is when a garage is full and people leave their Driveway empty, but park 3 cars on the street.
Science Abuse
Blizzard? What Blizard? I drove about 120mi Sunday, 30 on Saturday morning, and another 100 today. I saw some snow, but no blizzard. I wanted to yell and scream at every moron today on the road in a little car. I mean WTF are you thinking? I bet majority of those dumb asses got stuck today too. UNSAFE. I drove about 30 miles on Saturday, in an '86 rwd corolla. I didn't get stuck on the roads, would you like to call me a moron? Morons are anyone who thinks that the vehicle they are in is going to get them through the shit. It doesn't matter what the fuck you drive, braking is braking, turning is turning, and sliding is sliding. I'm "unsafe" because I might get stuck? i.e. I may stop moving? How about all the cunts in 4000lb steel boxes sliding sideways at 40mph, what are they? My only trouble came in the unplowed, untrafficed culdesac leading to my moms driveway, I had to make a 90deg turn and clear a drift as high as my bumper. I spent the day shoveling out a path from her driveway out to a trodden road, about 1/8 mile.
