SamZman
I know very little about this stuff but did some searching after seeing this post.. I guess that is actually at Su-37 not 30 and this has been around for a while. Here is a vid comparing an F22 with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_za3KfMFKLk All cool videos. I'm sure others on here have a lot more insight, but I thought I'd share that little bit I found..
Black ITR Guy
wow......... but im sure we still have a few trick up out sleeves that no other country knows about to keep our air supemicy
Orion
and the f22 is a stealth equipped jet. ill take the raptor.
RedRocket1647545505
F-22 > that. A few reasons: 1. It (Su-37) is Russian, so it'll probably fall apart 2. F-22 will be all up in it's shit before it even knows what's going on. 3. Because I said so. Do a search for Su-47 if you wanna see a cooler version of the Su-37. JuicedH22
I was going to post that the original link is retarded (as far as the text) because the F22 has the same capabilities... and lets not forget the F35

Black ITR Guy
yeah dont they still have a ufo sitting around from roswell somewhere still?? lol
Scotty2Hotty
The F22 looks like it's actually in control. Now I wouldn't say the SU-30 will fall apart, we must remember, this is the same country that has built the AK47.
Patrick
And they also have a secret base under the HAARP installation in Alaska! not sure where they're keeping the ufo anymore. maybe hangar 18?

Draco-REX
Very cool. But in today's air warfare, dogfighting is, for all practical reasons, obsolete. With the on-board electronics, fighters can engage beyond light of sight. Couple that with a networked battlefield and they can engage beyond the horizon. These planes would have been devastating back during "Top Gun", but today, if a fighter pilot needs to draw upon maneuvering like that, shit's gone WONG. And that is the exact reason that the F-22, or the F-35 for that matter, have absolutely nothing to worry about. They've already tagged your ass with a missle before you know they're there. RedRocket1647545505
It's all fun and games until you lose it at the Ukraine air show and slaughter 84 people into hamburger on the tarmac. Tractor
From watching F-18's at air shows I'm not impressed with that russian pile. And F-18's are being retired this year. Evan

Evan I didn't think F-18's were retiring until the F-35 took their place, in like, 2012 or something?
GonneVille
F-22 and SU-37 are roughly equivalent in maneuverability and speed, but the Raptor is a full-stealth aircraft, and the combat avionics and their integration with our other combat intelligence assets are miles ahead of the Russians. F-22 would splash the SU-37 without the SU-37 ever knowing where the missile came from.
Orion
so you know guys, those pics are of mig-29's, not su-37's. for the record, so is the video.

SpaceGhost
Just like to say a tail stand like the one in the 1st video is a pilots wet dream scenario in a shooting situation. A stationary target is easy to hit.
