evan9381
if you havent gotten to play with one of these, go rent one, or better yet, buy one. im starting to realize how people can justify spending so much money on a single handgun. ive had this 2 months tomorrow, and already, ive gotten myself 1. comptac MTAC minotaur IWB holster http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC02379.jpg?t=1205812448 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC02380.jpg?t=1205812448 2. trijicon tritium night sights (hard to picture, but i did my best) http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/th_DSC02451.jpg http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/th_DSC02382.jpg 3. BoomBoom Tactical (anthony, i know you have an M&P. call ronnie bianco or stop by his shop, 6665-d huntley rd, by the budweiser factory. does amazing work) custom trigger work. lowered from 6lbs to 4.5, trigger reset about 1/16" shorter, and polished sear assembly for a smoother trigger 4. custom "i-got-bored" cosmetic changes...i needed to do something to break up all the black, so i finally got around to painting the engraved lettering and logos http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC02329.jpg?t=1205812775 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC02333.jpg?t=1205812775 along with the +/- 1200 rds ive put through it, and the price of the gun, i figure ive already dropped about 900$ into it during those 2 months. i think this is going to be an expensive hobby thoughts/opinions? RedRocket1647545505
I still need to rent one of those and see what all the hype's about. One thing you might take heed of; It has been said, that if you are going to use a gun for carry/defensive purposes, to leave it box stock save for some night sights. Reason being - If a lawyer finds out that you've got a 'modified' gun, after you've shot somebody, they're going to have a hayday with it in court. AJ could probably expand on this theory since I know he's been around training scenarios more than I have. If it's strictly a range gun, then by all means, hack that bitch up! Lookin' good though. RedRocket1647545505
Also, if you're gonna carry, pick up a good, sturdy gun belt. Acker, beltman, Wilderness, etc.
Guest Hal
I'm not a big fan of anything that can be seen easily at night. The white lettering and sights just don't say carry gun to me. That being said I do like them a lot for a range gun. It is very aesthetically pleasing.
evan9381
its not easily seen. i only did the letters white to break up all the black and give me a better looking firearm. 99% of it is still black, unlike something like a polished/chrome slide gun, which will stick out like a sore thumb

Putty
Looks good! That holster is expensive...looked at it myself. I How did you do the painting? Looks far better with the white on it.
BloodRed
Pretty nice. What caliber do you have? My Dad got the M&P 40 and he loves his and my good friend has the 45 and both have been great guns. I have been thinking of getting a 40 or 45 myself, but the Baby Desert Eagles keep pulling me back. HotCarl
I've always been curious. When using a holster like that do you have to wear pants one size bigger than normally so you can compensate for the extra room?

AJ
i don't see a problem with a moded gun. it would take an expert armor that is specific to that gun to know that anything was done that didn't come that way factory. on my Glock 22 i have a 3.5lbs. trigger, Ti fireing pin and Ti slide return spring shaft. this is just a heads up. the only thing people really need to STOP doing is calling the magazine a CLIP! a clip is for a machine gun. A magazine (also called a mag or, commonly but incorrectly, especially when removable, a clip) Mag http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazine_%28firearms%29 Clip http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clip_%28ammunition%29 if a lawyer asks you how many rounds your gun has or how many you shot and you say 15 in the clip and 1 in the chamber you can kiss your ass good bye as he will turn that on you as you ment to shoot off alot of rounds since clips are for machine guns. AJ
Hey AJ, my bolt action Mauser takes stripper clips, does that mean its a machine gun? no they are for loading the guns magazine. just a speed loader. Stripper clip Main article: Stripper clip A stripper clip or charger is a speedloader that holds several cartridges together in a single unit for easier loading of a firearm's magazine. A stripper clip is used only for loading the magazine and is not necessary for the firearm to function. It is called a 'stripper' clip because, after the bolt is opened and the stripper clip is placed in position (generally by placing it in a slot on either the receiver or bolt), the cartridges are pressed down, thereby 'stripping' them off of the stripper clip and into the magazine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clip_%28ammunition%29#Stripper_clip
