Las Vegas hotels

So I called the New York New York hotel booking phone number for some information. I had a specific room I want. I wanted them to tell me if there is smoking or non-smoking floors. They said you can have a smoking or non-smoking room, but they can't guarantee the rooms next to you are the same. What the fuck is this shit? If I am staying 6 days in a penthouse room I don't want the people next to me smoking. I want the whole floor non-smoking. I called the front desk and they told me the same thing.

So anyone here been to a romantic hotel on the strip that is all non-smoking on the room floors? I know the casino will be smoking but that doesn't bother me. Please let me know I am trying to book this for the upcoming honeymoon.

Im pretty sure when i stayed at wynn and mandalay we were on a non smoking floor. if not i couldnt notice. im sensitive too :-/

I am super sensitive to tobacco smoke since I quit. Makes me sick to my stomach if I am in my car and the car next to me is smoking.

Whoa, isnt there a 10k buy in? or did you win some sort of online game that covers your entry fee?

HotCarl, the $10K buy-in is only for the Main Event (i.e., the largest, most prestigious poker tournament in the WSOP and, well, the world). Yet, during the WSOP - which spans several days - there are many other tournaments that are held (e.g., Omaha, Razz, pot-limit Hold Em), and those have lower buy-ins (though they still tend to be pricey).

Supplicium, good luck. What tourneys are you planning on entering?

Trowa, the Venetian has non-smoking floors, if I'm not mistaken, and I think the Palms has non-smoking floors available, but it's not on the Strip proper.

Yeah Im not playing in the main event. My best friend and I are still debating splitting the buy-in and have him play it but thats a stretch atm.

I am playing in the $1500 side event, more specifically the Hold em 6 way tables. http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/tourney/structsheet_4903.asp?tourneyid=4903&groupid=411
