WTB new daily

I'm at the beginning of the process for looking for a new daily driver. I'm looking for suggestions as to where to go to look (besides this forum). I won't be in a position to purchase anything until June/July and am not looking to spend anymore than $3,000. I'm looking for something that's good on gas to get me to school/work, mainly in town driving. I'd prefer a Honda or Toyota, but I'm open to consider a Chevy or Pontiac as well. Suggestions.....
