Cordell
If you convert euros to dollars you'll realize that we as Americans pay less for gas than many euopeans. Yes it sucks that gas has gone high, but what can we really do? Wait don't waste your breath, this topic is pointless!!!

I cannot take hearing this one more time. lol There are other reasons but for simplicity's sake, I'll list one. Of course they do and they should. They shop at Walmart. We shop at Sam's club. Basically, we consume more, we purchase more which should equal a lower price per unit. Doesn't help our dollar's been dropping, either. Kevin R.
Okay, now we ban anyone who posted in the "Raise your hand if you're tired of hearing about gas" thread saying they were tired of hearing about gas prices and is now talking about them in this thread. Most of their price is from taxes that goes into.......wait for it........at least decent public transportation. *gasp* If the US had the public transportation structure that Europe has gas prices would get knocked down a few notches on the worry totem poll. Some one who actually knows what they are talking about instead of the mindless sheep who keep blabbing about how we have it so good that our gas is cheaper than Europe's without knowing what all goes into the price per gallon. LJ
The speculation bubble is going to burst soon. It won't go much below $110-$120. The speculators are getting very smug with their long positions and is much like how the traders were acting right before the .com burst. Also there was a lot of covering of short positions yesterday.
kinkinhood
I suspect at the bubble burst it'd drop to around 90.

LJ
I suspect at the bubble burst it'd drop to around 90. Not with how weak the dollar is. If we were still at .92:1 Euro it would hit around $85-90. The market supports 75-85 EURO/BBL. so 85*1.08= $91 BUT 85*1.45= $
kinkinhood
We should do a Columbus Racing betting pool on what the price will be January 1st, 2009. Anyone up for something like that?
