Redoing My Exhaust! Input Needed!

I am looking at redoing my exhaust very soon. I love the way the truck sounds but I need something different.

 

Currently I am running Pacesetter long tubes and their early style cat/less y-pipe with a 3" duel 2.5" 40 series Flowmaster dumped in front of the ol' 10 bolt.

 

This is what I have in mind! Continue running the Pacesetters, but weld 3 bolt 3" flanges so the exhaust can be easily removed. Duel 3" stainless steel cutouts reduced to 2.5" duels to a Magnaflow 2.5" 'X' pipe. Then threw duel 2.5" mufflers and exiting out the side just in front of rear passenger side tire. Ends will be cut parallel with body to give that oval look. I am reducing the exhuast to 2.5" because duel 3" is way too big for my lil' 5.3L, right!

 

Also who on here can help me out welding all this together and bending the pipe?

Even going to 2.5 it looks like the duel pipes in your pic would flow a lot more. Looks like a cool idea.

i have a 3" pipe off the y-pipe then out the side before the passenger wheel like you plan. i'll try and get a picture of it tomorrow.

Maybe option 3!?

 

3" duel cutouts, 3" Magnaflow Y, 3" single in and out muffler, and a single 3" out in front of tire with same as body slash cut. Thinking a flowmaster delta 40 since they are quieter than my regular Flowmaster 40.

Why not go out the back in the center like a vette? That would go good with your 1trueSS theme. Otherwise I like #3, just as cool as #2 but likely a little cheaper to do.

i have no mufflers, the cats and resonator tip keps it in check and sounds good. it was a hack job i put together in 15mins with stuff i had laying around from the camaro.

Thanks for the pics AJ! Instead of coming out after the 90 degree bend i want to come out at a 45 , so the pipes/pipe looks oval.

the only problem with that is making a muffler fit in that area. thats why i don't have one. i may be changeing my exhaust before too long as my friend wants mine.

Option 4!

Redo Y-pipe with 3" dual cutous with a true 3" y-pipe from Magnaflow, keep my 3" in/duel 2.5" out FlowMaster 40, and have dual turnouts before tire.

Just throw a couple of spintech mufflers on, leave it dumped and be done with it. Spintechs will sure as hell have a different sound.
