Drewhop
I was little bored so i tried taking some pics of our fish. The Betta actually has 3 females on the other side of the tank its divided. Just got those fish. I need to get a liner to actually block him from seeing he goes nuts when they come near the glass. The oscar is all alone cause all he does it kill anything that comes into his tank. Here they are tell me what you think and post up what you have. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc238/aci777newark/Bignasty.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc238/aci777newark/Oscar1.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc238/aci777newark/bestpicture.jpg
evan9381
how big is the oscar? i have 3 that are maybe 4" long in a 55g tank.
Drewhop
The oscar is about 10-12" long unfortunately he is only in a odd shaped 29 gallon tank. I need to get him a 55 or 75 gallon tank. Once i get bigger tank im gonna try my luck with a Channel Catfish to see if it can help him with socializing. But as of right now he has killed another oscar his size. Beat up a African Cichlid ate a large clown loach and killed a big placo. But he loves the camera lol.
spankis
I don't know if you'd be interested, but my uncle raises Discus locally ( spelling? ). He has quite a few different breeds and does business worldwide.

99BlownYellowGT
Discus are very cool fish but very hard to maintain and keep alive.

Drewhop
nice! The Beta looks like he wants a piece of what's on the other side of the tank Yeah and i dont know enough about betta yet to see if he wants a lil action or he wants to kill them. Tonight im gonna buy some aquarium background and stick it to the divider and poke lil holes in it see if it settles him down. He displays constantly which i think cant be completely good for him lol.
99BlownYellowGT
You should breed them and have lots of bettas!
Drewhop
You should breed them and have lots of bettas! Thats the goal.
Main3s
Yeah, if your beta is always "displaying" like that it can stress him out and potentially cause problems. Get a Snake Head and put it in there with the Oscar. http://snakehead_fish.tripod.com/

Drewhop
I has me a beta too. He's a good year and 4 months old...... he's a fuckin tank and will rape your female betas If my lil red boy doesnt stop being pissed off and build him a bubble nest and get busy i may take you up on that. I am buying a solid divider tonight see if that calms him down. If that dont work im gonna introduce him to the oscar... (j/k)
