from another forum im on...heres what i did

well, i took some time today to clean my engine bay up. got some nice spray on, let sit, spray off cleaner. did a pretty good job. had to scrub some of the real heavy crap, but not much. also used some engine detailer stuff that made it look a lot nicer.

i just used some 2.39 engine gunk remover. they all seemed to be the same. i covered the alternator (just put a bag lightly over it where crap wouldnt get in it) and wrapped up the coil packs somewhat well. i will say, take something and cover the fenders/front bumper, and windshiled/pillars (like an old sheet or something) b/c the stuff comes out like foam, but it gets all over and can eat away your paint if you dont wash it off quick enough. youll have to do a little scrubbing, not much. spray it all off w/ water (light shower if you have something w/ that setting) then let it sit for a 1/2 hour or so, then i used this stuff called cd2 engine detailer...its like armor all for the engine, which is why it looks so shiney...it says to let it sit and not wipe it off, i did for like 1/2 hour, but when i looked, it looked like water spots, i took a towel and rubbed it in...firewall, camshaft cover, fuse box, battery, radiator, everything
