silverhatch
The salesman actually tried to tell me that it wouldn't be costly to insure my sti because it was a 4 door sedan. He was so full of bs, but I already knew that when the insurance company ran the vin it would cost me.
ODoyle
My lancer OZ rally was hella expensive on insurance. Something like 175 a month,it was ridiculous im glad i dont have that car any more. Out of sheer curiosity whats insurance for 1998 T/A go for from peoples similar experience, seasonal insurance of course.
04silvrz
My 02 RSX insurance was more expensive than my 04 350Z. So stupid.
2highpsi
Different insurance companies must use different scales to determine costs. When I had my WRX the insurance was surprisingly cheap. He said that the safety rating was pretty good, and that they did not have a history of paying high medical bills due to an accident with one, and that they base a lot of the cost on that rather than the value of the vehicle. kinkinhood
From most charts that I've seen the EVO tends to run either 1 or
silverhatch
I pay $120.00 a month for the Sti, an old Ford F250, and a 92 Civic hatch. I only have full coverage on the Sti though. I didn't think this was too bad, but I'm older, homeowner, kids, no tickets/accidents myself (hubby a couple small accidents a few years back) which probably helps some. I remember paying around the same if not a little higher for the RSX-S that we had.
2highpsi
I pay $105 a month for full coverage on the Evo, a Mountaineer, and a camper. Ofcoarse I also have home and life through the same company, which gives me a few discounts

Mr. Jones
I think its quite funny how this works out. I can insure an RS6 or my S8 for less than what it costs to insure a lancer.
ODoyle
I'm almost positive that as i get older, stop getting tickets and straighten some personal issues up my insurance wont be horrible at all.

Archie
I pay about $80 a month for a '99 SS, '96 Z28, 01 Sonoma, and a '97 civic (I still live in the '90s) No points, no accidents, no bullshit.
RangerTurbo
So, whats the going rate for insuring cars like an Enzo, Veyron, or any high dollar super-car for that matter? Is it even possible? Also, don't insurance rates have a little to do with theft probability for that vehicle? Makes sense why the Escalade is at the top.

Dr. Apex
A guy I race with that now has an S2000 said it costs almost half as much to insure the S2000 vs. the Prelude he had years ago.....it's not so much the type of car as the risk it represents by the types of owners. [/Quote] If you got the money to drive one of those does it really matter how much it costs to insure ? Also yes on the theft , that is what most of those are common for. RangerTurbo
The question wasn't meant for a "does it matter" answer, I genuinely wanted to know if anyone had an actual figure. But no, it wouldn't matter really.
Rookie84
It's different between companies. When I went from G35 coupe to STi, my insurance dropped a bit.
